Commissioned by James Madison's Montpelier this mahogany chest of drawers exemplifies details attributed to the Hepplewhite style. Intricate inlays on the drawer fronts, at the base, and around the keyholes offer a subtle complexity to piece. Whilst, the french feet and brass pulls also demonstrate the elements of the Hepplewhite style.
